Does the POF checking feature check the entire Application Image when using Remote Update Intel® FPGA IP? - Does the POF checking feature check the entire Application Image when using Remote Update Intel® FPGA IP? Description No, when the POF checking option is enabled in the Remote Update Intel® FPGA IP, the entire Application image is not checked. Only the header section and the CRC of that section is checked. If the header section isn’t valid, the IP won’t trigger reconfiguration and will assert the pof_error signal. If the header section is valid, but corruption happens somewhere else in the later part of the image, the IP will trigger Application image reconfiguration which will fail (nSTATUS will assert due to a CRC mismatch) and the IP will load the Factory image. Resolution This information is scheduled to be included in a future release of the Remote Update Intel® FPGA IP User Guide .
