eCPRI Altera® FPGA IP: Architecture and Interfaces - 18 Minutes Altera® FPGAs are finding many uses in the evolving 5G ecosystem. As the roll-out of 5G continues, designers require more and more flexibility in their fronthaul solutions. The Enhanced Common Public Radio (eCPRI) IP is a key IP used in those solutions. The eCPRI Altera® FPGA IP: Architecture and Interfaces training is the second in a series of courses introducing the IP and its development flow. In this course you will learn the architecture of the IP by reviewing its block diagram to understand how data and control words are processed. Then you will learn interfaces, or ports, on the eCPRI IP core to which you connect other IP cores to build your total 5G radio access network (RAN) solution. Course Objectives At course completion, you will be able to: Describe the blocks that make up the eCPRI IP Describe the how packets are processed by the eCPRI IP Connect your transport and application layer logic to the eCPRI IP Skills Required Familiarity with 3GPP specification and terminology, particularly for 5G Familiarity with eCPRI protocol and specification Familiarity with the Quartus® Prime Pro design flow Familiarity with Altera® device architecture If the audio for the course does not start automatically, press pause and then play on the course player. The transcript of the course audio is available in the Notes or closed captioning (CC) feature of the player. If you need assistance with this course, please email fpgatraining@altera.com .
