eCPRI Altera® FPGA IP: Getting Started - 17 Minutes Altera® FPGAs are finding many uses in the evolving 5G ecosystem. As the roll-out of 5G continues, designers require more and more flexibility in their fronthaul solutions. The Enhanced Common Public Radio (eCPRI) Altera® FPGA IP is a key IP used in those solutions. The eCPRI IP: Getting Started course is the first in a series of courses introducing the IP and its development flow. In this course you will learn why the IP paired with an FPGA makes a great choice for a flexible fronthaul solution in a 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) system. You will learn of the IP’s key features and its configurable options. And you will learn about other 5G IP available from Altera® FPGA. Course Objectives At course completion, you will be able to: Familiarity with 3GPP specification and terminology, particularly for 5G Familiarity with eCPRI protocol and specification Familiarity with the Quartus® Prime Pro design flow Familiarity with Altera FPGA device architecture Skills Required Describe why an Altera FPGA and the Enhanced Common Public Radio Interface (eCPRI) IP makes a good solution for fronthaul interface requirements Describe how the eCPRI IP fits into a Radio Access Network (RAN) solution when using in an Altera FPGA Describe the features of the eCPRI IP If the audio for the course does not start automatically, press pause and then play on the course player. The transcript of the course audio is available in the Notes or closed captioning (CC) feature of the player. If you need assistance with this course, please email fpgatraining@altera.com .
