What kind of file for passive parallel load of Cyclone 10? - What kind of file for passive parallel load of Cyclone 10?
A total noob here so be gentle please. I have a Cyclone 10 CL006 connected to a microcontroller. I want to load it by a "Fast Passive Parallel" method. My FPGA engineer sent two files: .sof and .rpd. The .rpd looks like suitable for the task, but it has some header. Do I need to skip it, or send the whole .rpd file as is? After the file data, need to send two more dummy bytes so it starts configuring? I'm asking because tried to send the .rpd data as is, and of course it won't start running. The engineer has loaded the .sof file over JTAG, and it works. -- ddbug ... and the end of the file:

Hi, Apologize for the late response as last two days are weekend in here. It is correct that you need to use RBF format for Cyclone 10 LP. RPD format is for Cyclone 10 GX. You can always refer to Intel's handbook: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/hb/cyclone-10/c10lp-51003.pdf Thank you for your understanding. Regards, Aim

Any advice, please? More information needed to clarify? Is .rpd a totally wrong format for FPP loading by a microcontroller? I'm offering a bounty on Stack Overflow on this question. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/59556995/what-kind-of-file-for-passive-parallel-loading-of-cyclone-10-fpga -- dd

Hi, Thank you for contacting Intel Community. May i know which Cyclone 10 are you using, Cyclone 10 LP or Cyclone 10 GX? Or you can provide me the part number. Thank you. Regards, Aim - 2020-01-01
