How to Use the Moderation Manager - How to Use the Moderation Manager Moderation can be configured at community level and at the board level. There are 3 levels of moderation in community: Required: Content must go through moderation for review, and based on the moderator’s evaluation, the content is either published or removed from the community. Selective: The content is made public to the community without going through moderation. However, moderators can selectively review the content later, and based on the review, the content stays or is removed from the community. Auto-approved: The content is auto-approved and made public without going through moderation review unless flagged. Recommended for trusted areas that are self-regulated by a small group of members. Required Moderation When moderation is set to Required , all posts are sent to the Moderation Manager queue prior to publishing in the community. When a user posts content on a board, a confirmation message will be displayed on the post indicating that post will be published as soon as it is approved from moderators. Selective and Auto-Approved Moderation When moderation is set to Selective or Auto-Approved , no confirmation is displayed to the user, although Selective moderation messages will display in the Moderation Manager queue. Moderation Manager To access the moderation manager, click on your avatar in the top right corner and select Moderation . The Moderation Manager will show Spam , Abuse , and Moderation tabs. The Moderation tab is where content can be reviewed. From this screen, you can view all posts that are pending moderation review. By default, the Moderation tab displays a list of unmoderated posts. Expand the Filters pane on the left side of the screen to show available filters for this view. Unpublished content is not live in the community, while published content is. Hover over a post to show the ellipses on the far right of the post. By selecting the ellipses, you are given the following options: Approve the post to be in community. Reject the post as abuse, spam, or other. Message Member to inform the user via community private messages. Edit the post directly. Ban Member if they are posting spam. Once an action is taken on a post, it is removed from the Moderation tab. If a post is rejected as abuse, it will be moved into the Abuse tab. If a post is rejected as spam, it will be moved into the Abuse tab. If a post is rejected as other, you can view them by expanding the Filters pane and selecting Rejected under Moderation Status. - 2025-09-23
