Instantiation of CPRI channels with PDD might generate error messages in the Quartus II software for Cyclone IV GX - Instantiation of CPRI channels with PDD might generate error messages in the Quartus II software for Cyclone IV GX
Description If you attempt to instantiate two CPRI channels with PLL phase circuitry detector (PFD) feedback turned on, the Fitter generates errors similar to the following: Error: Following nodes use the same resource INTERQUAD_TXRX_CLK_X0_Y28_N0_I3 Error: Node "lib_xcvr_channel_module:channel_inst0|rx_pcs_clkout" is currently placed at location RXPCS_X0_Y16_N8 with a Global Signal type of Auto Error: Node "lib_xcvr_channel_module:channel_inst1|rx_pcs_clkout" is currently placed at location RXPCS_X0_Y22_N8 with a Global Signal type of Auto These errors occur because the Fitter is unable to place the two CPRI channel automatically. Resolution Use the quartus_cbf.exe command line executable to regenerate the .hexout file, or close and then reopen the Convert Programming Files dialog box before regenerating the file.
