Why does partial reconfiguration fail in Arria 10 devices when enhanced compression is enabled in the partial reconfiguration bitstream? - Why does partial reconfiguration fail in Arria 10 devices when enhanced compression is enabled in the partial reconfiguration bitstream? Description When the Enhanced Compression option is enabled during partial reconfiguration (PR) bitsteram generation, but the Enhanced compression option for Arria 10 Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP is not enabled, the PR fails in Arria® 10 devices. Unlike the standard compression feature, the enhanced compression can be decompressed only with the Arria 10 Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP with the Enhanced compression option. Resolution To solve this problem, use one of the following solutions: Turn off Enhanced Compression option when generating the partial reconfiguration bitstream using Convert Programming Files in the Quartus® Prime software or quartus_cpf command and use a partial reconfiguration bitstream without enhanced compression If you use Arria 10 Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP, turn on Enhanced Compression option when generating Arria 10 Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP using the IP Catalog or Qsys Pro parameter editor Custom Fields values: ['novalue'] Troubleshooting FB: 471508; False ['Partial Reconfiguration Controller Arria® 10 Cyclone® 10 FPGA IP'] ['FPGA Dev Tools Quartus® Prime Software Pro'] novalue novalue ['Arria® 10 FPGAs and SoCs'] ['novalue'] ['novalue'] ['novalue'] - 2021-08-25
