Hi. I am looking at putting a FIR II block inside a client's product. Do I need a license for this? I am confused, as I see no indication that I need one. I can generate sof's and rbf's just fine. There is no indication of time limits. I am using the Lite version of Quartus. Thanks, Chris.

Hi Chris, Yes, we required a license. Check the Quartus log messages for a warning on the license or Evaluation Mode. During Intel FPGA IP Evaluation Mode, the Compiler only generates a time-limited device programming file (_time_limited.sof). The IP Base Suite is also installed with the Intel Quartus Prime Lite Edition Software. Full licenses to this suite are purchased separately .
