So far I could create the RTL, pass the synthesis (still with some warnings to investigate). I could also simulate it with ModelSim that was installed according to DE10 Lite data book. However, whenever I try to run the simulation from within Quartus (tools->run simulation tool-> RTL simulation) there is no error, yet nothing happens. Gemini's AI help guided me to define ModelSim in EDA tools settings - how ever, there is no ModelSim option there. How can I set it correctly and run it? Simulation is running well on ModelSim stand alone, but so far I failed to run the verilog simulation or gate level simulation out of the Quartus tools menu. Yes, do let us the version of the Quartus that you were using. As different version of Quartus use different steps for simulation. If you didn't install the simulation tool and set the path to its executable in the settings, it won't work.
