Why is the variation between the SEU Raw FIT Rate reported by the Quartus® Prime software and the Reliability Report data larger than 5%? - Why is the variation between the SEU Raw FIT Rate reported by the Quartus® Prime software and the Reliability Report data larger than 5%? Description AN 866: Mitigating and Debugging Single Event Upsets in Quartus® Prime Standard Edition says as follows in the Raw FIT of Projected SEU FIT by Component Usage Report section: The Quartus® Prime software counts device bits for target devices using different parameter information than the Reliability Report . Therefore, expect a ±5% variation in the Projected SEU FIT by Component Usage Report Raw column compared to the Reliability Report data. However, a ±5% variation in the description is not accurate. The variation largely varies depending on device family and device density, and it can be more than 5%. Resolution If you want to know the correct variation, please contact your local support representative, who will provide the EDCRC max FIT Rate based on the Reliability Report data. The above description will be fixed in the future release of AN 866.
