The IP cores in the /megafunctions folder take priority over the newer valid files in quartus/libraries/megafunctions . This problem affects the Quartus II software v14.1 when you upgrade a project from v14.0. Resolution To work around this problem, delete the folder <project_dir>/megafunctions ..
