Why does the POF_ERROR signal trigger high during the application image reconfiguration when using Remote System Upgrade (RSU)? - Why does the POF_ERROR signal trigger high during the application image reconfiguration when using Remote System Upgrade (RSU)?
Description The POF_ERROR signal will trigger high during the application image reconfiguration when using RSU due to a bug when the Enable reconfig POF checking option is enabled in the ALTREMOTE_UPDATE megafunction. This affects Stratix® V, Arria® V, and Cyclone® V devices. In affected versions, the RSU IP reads the wrong start address of the POF header in these devices, thus causing the POF_ERROR signal to trigger high even though a valid application image exists. Resolution You can disable the Enable reconfig POF checking option for these devices. The remote system upgrade will still function correctly to perform the application image reconfiguration for Stratix® V, Arria® V, and Cyclone® V devices. This issue is fixed in Quartus® II software version 13.1.
