Why is the Clock Enable port of my inferred RAM not working properly? - Why is the Clock Enable port of my inferred RAM not working properly?
Description Due to a problem with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3.1 and earlier, the Clock Enable port is incorrectly inferred and doesn't work as expected when the RAM module doesn't have a RAMSTYLE attribute set to M20K . Resolution To avoid this problem, set the RAMSTYLE attribute to M20K for the Clock Enable port to be inferred correctly. Dedicated Clock Enable port inference is only supported for M20K memories. Starting with version 25.1 of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software, the Clock Enable inference is prevented for memories without the RAMSTYLE attribute set to M20K . For details on the RAMSTYLE attribute, consult the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Settings File Reference Manual .
