Why does the FHT “200GE-4 Reconfigurable” F-Tile Ethernet Multirate IP variant fail to transmit ethernet packets after being reconfigured to the 2x100GE-1 or the 2x100GE-2 profiles? - Why does the FHT “200GE-4 Reconfigurable” F-Tile Ethernet Multirate IP variant fail to transmit ethernet packets after being reconfigured to the 2x100GE-1 or the 2x100GE-2 profiles? Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3, the FHT “200GE-4 Reconfigurable” F-tile Ethernet Multirate IP variant will fail to transmit ethernet packets after being reconfigured to the 2x100GE-1 or the 2x100GE-2 profiles. When in this failure state, the Ethernet link will be up and the transmit application interface will accept packets from the user logic RTL, but the Ethernet link partner will not receive any packets. To determine if your failure is due to this problem, perform an Avalon-MM read on the “ p<n>_reconfig_eth ” interface of your failing port at address 0x31C0. The following values will indicate that you have encountered this problem: Bit[0]: 1’b1 (TX Deskew Done) Bit[3:1]: 3’b111 (TX Deskew Status) Bit[7:4]: Don’t Care Bit[8]: 1’b1 (TX Deskew Monitor Error Status) Resolution To work around this problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3, assert/deassert the “i_p<n>_tx_rst_n ” port on the IP. This problem is not scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
