All About Abuse Reports, Filter Reports, and Removed Posts - All About Abuse Reports, Filter Reports, and Removed Posts Table of Contents Abuse Reports Filtered Content Rejected Posts Abuse Reports The Abuse tab in the Content Management dashboard contains notifications of reported content marked by users. When a user reports a post, the post remains public with no indication the post has been flagged. Within the Abuse tab, each reported post contains: Title of the reported post. By clicking on the title, you can view the reported post and open it in the community. The author of the reported post The date the post was reported The total number of times the post was reported. By clicking on the Total count, you can view a list of members who reported the post with their optional reasoning. If you determine that the post is inappropriate and needs to be removed, confirm the abuse by: Clicking on the title of the post and selecting Confirm Abuse Clicking on the three dots to the right of the post and selecting Confirm Abuse If you determine that the post is not inappropriate, ignore the abuse by: Clicking on the title of the post and selecting Ignore Clicking on the three dots to the right of the post and selecting Ignore If abuse is flagged by an administrator, the post will not appear in the Abuse tab, but will instead appear in the Moderation tab, filtered by Moderation Status as Rejected. Filtered Content Content filters identify inappropriate words used by community members and take appropriate action on the content based on how the filter was configured. To view content that has met a content filter criteria, navigate to the Abuse tab in the Content Management dashboard. Expand the Filters window on the left and select Reported By > Content Filter. To manage what content is being filtered, navigate to Community Settings > Features > Moderation > Content Filters. If changes need to be made to the content filters, first start in the stage environment. When creating a new filter, you will have the following options: Once you have made changes in the staging environment, be sure to test and verify that your content filter is working as intended. If you are getting the expected behavior, you can then apply the updates in the production environment. Rejected Posts Since content is never ‘deleted’, when a post is rejected for either spam or abuse, they can be viewed in the Moderation tab in the Content Management dashboard. To view these posts, expand the filters window on the left and select Moderation Status > Rejected. From this screen, you also have the ability to unmark a post as spam or abuse. - 2025-09-23
