Why do the custom components fail to upgrade when migrating to a newer version of the Intel® Quartus Prime Pro edition version? - Why do the custom components fail to upgrade when migrating to a newer version of the Intel® Quartus Prime Pro edition version? Description Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 19.4 and earlier, after unarchiving your project, you may see errors while trying to migrate custom components to a newer version of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software. Resolution To work around this problem, in the original version of the Intel® Quartus® Prime project, explicitly add the custom component hw.tcl file to the project files and then perform the archiving process. After this, open the Intel® Quartus® Prime Archive File ( .qar ) in the newer version of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software and perform the upgrade process. This information has been added in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition User Guide.
