Why does Quartus project compilation fail in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software (Linux version) within Nios® V Command Shell? - Why does Quartus project compilation fail in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software (Linux version) within Nios® V Command Shell? Description This is observed in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3 for Linux when compiling a Quartus software design within Nios® V Command Shell. For example, Using the Intel Quartus Prime Software within the Nios® V Command Shell Launch the Nios® V Command Shell. Launch the Intel® Quartus® Software in the command shell. Perform a hardware compilation using Processing ➤ Start Compilation. Using command line interface within Nios® V Command Shell Launch the Nios® V Command Shell. Perform a hardware compilation using quartus_sh --flow compile <Project Name> in the command shell. This is due to the incorrect Linux environment variable settings by Nios® V Command Shell, which causes compilation failure in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software or through Nios® V Command Shell command line flow. Resolution To work around this for the Linux environment, exit the Nios® V Command Shell before compiling a project. Any design compilation should not be done within the Nios® V Command Shell. This only affects project compilation with no impact to Nios® V utilities script (niosv-*). This problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.4 Custom Fields values: ['novalue'] Troubleshooting 14014971899 False ['Nios® V/m Processor'] ['FPGA Dev Tools Quartus® Prime Software Pro'] 21.4 21.3 ['Agilex™ 7 FPGAs and SoCs', 'Arria® 10 FPGAs and SoCs', 'Cyclone® 10 GX FPGA', 'Stratix® 10 FPGAs and SoCs'] ['novalue'] ['novalue'] ['novalue'] - 2023-03-28
