Why do my make files fail in Altera ARM DS-5 on Windows? - Why do my make files fail in Altera ARM DS-5 on Windows?
Description If the ARM Development Studio™ 5 (DS-5™) Altera Edition Toolkit eclipse is launched from the Windows Start Menu, any scripts or Makefiles will run in a DOS command shell, causing Linux based scripts to fail. Resolution To resolve this issue launch the ARM Development Studio™ 5 (DS-5™) Altera Edition Toolkit from an Altera Embedded Command Shell window, this will ensure Makefiles run in a Cygwin Linux shell. Altera Embedded Command Shell can be launched from: Windows <Quartus II Installation>/ embedded/Embedded_Command_Shell.bat Linux <Quartus II Installation>/ embedded/Embedded_Command_Shell.sh Altera reccommends launching Eclipse from an Altera Embedded Command Shell. A link to the Altera Embedded Command Shell is due to be added to the Windows Start menu group for the next major release of the Altera SoC Embedded Command Suite.
