Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs - Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs Howdy, I am designing the 2nd version of one of our GPS RF Front-Ends that utilized the CoolRunner II XC2C64A CPLD, which is now EOL and Obsolete. We are considering replacing it with an Altera/Intel MAX V 5M80ZT100I5N CPLD. This is the final prototype before we anticipate mass-producing our front-end for at least 10 years. What is the planned EOL and part status for the 5M80ZT100I5N. I called Intel support and they directed me to post here, Case Number: 06446480 Allen Morrison RF Engineer, CTSi Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs Hello, To confirm the MAXV availability - MAXV serries will still be available until 2035. regards, Farabi Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs The linked statement is still present here, but moved. Forum organization has been restructured, just search for thread title. https://community.altera.com/discussions/fpga-device/max-v-lifecycle-2035/251208 Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs I have the same question on EOL of 5M1270Z in the same MAX V family. The statement referenced in this thread is no longer available. Is there a new statement? Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs Thanks FvM. FvM answer is correct. Since this case has been answered, I will proceed to close this case. Regards, Aiman Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs Thanks Frank, looked through the forum, but had missed that post. I appreciate the help. Replies: Re: Planned EOL for MAX V CPLDs Hi, MAX V EOL has been asked repeatedly. Latest statement is 2035 https://community.intel.com/t5/Programmable-Devices/Max-V-Lifecycle-2035/m-p/1496862 Intel has presently no other low complexity logic devices in portfolio. For MAX V with 570 or even 240 and more LE, I would shift to MAX 10 series for a redesign. Lifetime beyond 2035 depends on future product portfolio and customer demand. Regards Frank - 2024-12-13
