Why do Hyperlynx simulations with Altera LVDS IBIS models show no significant difference in terms of overshoot and undershoot when changing the pre-emphasis settings? - Why do Hyperlynx simulations with Altera LVDS IBIS models show no significant difference in terms of overshoot and undershoot when changing the pre-emphasis settings?
Description In Altera® LVDS IBIS models, the pre-emphasis affect is embedded in the V-T curves. The pre-emphasis affect which is modeled as a momentary overshoot and undershoot in the V-T curves is smoothened off in Hyperlynx versions 7.7 and 8.0. The affects of the pre-emphasis settings can be seen starting with Hyperlynx 8.1.
