EPM7128AETI100-7N end of life - EPM7128AETI100-7N end of life I work for Astom Group and we have in some old projects that is still used nowadays. In one of these projects we are using the Altera EPM7128AETI100-7N, but the Alstom systems are signalizing that this item is obsolete. So my question is, there are some substitute for this item? You can connect up a microprocessor I/O ports to the JTAG lines and bit bang program the part, given the right software. That being said, I opted to use the Atmel ATDH1150USB-K USB CPLD Programmer from Microchip. It was the easiest solution in the short term, available at major distributors for about US$80. Replies: Re: EPM7128AETI100-7N end of life Intel/Altera has no direct substitute for this device. That series has been EOLed. You might want to look at the Microchip ATF1508ASV series. They offer direct compatibility to the EPM7128 series and have tools to convert Altera .POF to Microchip .JED files for programming. I have used the ATF15xx series to replace several EPM7032S and EPM7064S parts using the existing programming files.
