Intel® Simics® Simulator for Altera® FPGAs Hardware Inspection - 24 Minutes This eLearning on Intel® Simics® Simulator for Altera® FPGAs covers the command line interface use of the simulator to perform hardware inspection and its advantages. The Intel® Simics Simulator is used to test software early on in the development process. Intel® Simics uses a virtual platform for Agilex™ 5 SoC FPGA, to simulate the corresponding hardware. The model and virtual platform provide you with capabilities to test your software in early stages of the development process, but you can also use simulation as part of the continuous integration process. Course Objectives At course completion, you will be able to: Use the Intel® Simics Simulator command line interface to perform hardware inspection. Interact with the embedded OS prompt in the virtual platform for Agilex 5 SoC FPGA, and the command line interface. Skills Required Previous knowledge on Altera® SoC FPGAs Basic Embedded OS knowledge to interact with serial console and terminal. Understanding of the Booting flow for SoC FPGAs. Recommended: Previous Using Altera® Agilex™ 7 SoC learning plan. If the audio for the course does not start automatically, press pause and then play on the course player.
