Why is the JTAG ID readout from Configuration Debugger incorrect? - Why is the JTAG ID readout from Configuration Debugger incorrect?
Description Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1 and earlier, you might see an incorrect JTAG ID from the configuration debugger tool for the device based on secure device manager (SDM) and legacy devices. The root cause is that when the tool retrieves JTAG ID from the lookup table for the connected device, it will always take the first device in the list (including the compatible devices) as the default device for the JTAGID. Resolution To work around this problem, use the JTAG command to check the JTAGID: $jtagconfig -d This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
