10 Gbps Ethernet MAC: Avalon_st_rx_valid Signal Asserted in Link Fault Condition - 10 Gbps Ethernet MAC: Avalon_st_rx_valid Signal Asserted in Link Fault Condition
Description When the local PHY reports a fault (0x9c000001) during the packet transmission at the 10 Gigabit Media Independent Interface (XGMII), the Avalon st_rx_valid signal at the MAC RX client interface is asserted. The st_rx_valid signal is only de-asserted when the local PHY starts sending IDLEs to the MAC RX. Under normal test conditions, the Avalon-ST RX valid signal is not asserted when there is a link fault. This issue affects all 10 GbE MAC designs. Resolution This issue is fixed in version 12.1.
