Why does protocol_error asserts when PR_ERROR triggers despite following the Avalon-ST handshaking rules during Partial Reconfiguration? - Why does protocol_error asserts when PR_ERROR triggers despite following the Avalon-ST handshaking rules during Partial Reconfiguration?
Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 26.1 and earlier, you might see protocol_error being asserted when PR_ERROR is triggered despite following the Avalon-ST handshaking rules when your design includes the Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP. This problem occurs in the Partial Reconfiguration Controller IP with Avalon-ST interface when the "Enable Protocol Checker" is set to "Yes". Resolution The protocol_error assertion is safe to ignore during the PR error recovery process. This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
