Re: QSYS IP in qsf file
Hi, If there's IP inside the .qsys, have to include the .ip in the Project Navigator or .qsf. If not will need to open back the .qsys to add back the .ip to the Project Navigator or .qsf. Thanks, Regards, Sheng

Re: QSYS IP in qsf file
Not needed. All you have to do is in Platform Designer, File menu -> Select Quartus Project and choose the appropriate .qsf.

Re: QSYS IP in qsf file
Hello i am using quartus pro edition 19.4. i save the *.qsys and add them to the qsf i notice that when the IP core include *.ip then it is needed also to save and add them to the qsf file. Do you think it is correct or there is some other way to save and add only the *.qsys? Thanks Gilad

Re: QSYS IP in qsf file
Are you running Quartus Standard or Pro? If it's Pro, the association between .qsys and the Quartus project is made when you create the .qsys or you can move it to a different project using an option in the File menu of Platform Designer (I forget the exact option but it's obvious). For Standard, however, you can add either the .qsys or the generated .qip to the Quartus project. If you attach the .qsys, your system will get regenerated every time you compile your Quartus project. If you attach the .qip, that means you've already manually generated your system in PD so it will not regenerate during compilation. Do not attach a .ip file to the project. It must be the .qsys or the .qip. Hope that helps. - 2024-02-05
