Error (12004): Port "a_in" does not exist in primitive TRI - Error (12004): Port "a_in" does not exist in primitive TRI Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 11.1 and later, if you use Synplify synthesis tools, you may see this error message when reading the Verilog Quartus Mapping File ( .vqm ) netlist into the Quartus II software. Resolution To work around the problem, edit your .vqm and for any instance of the TRI primitive, change the port names from a_in to in and from a_out to out . This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
