Why does “aocl diagnose” return the "Not configured with OpenCL BSP" error after a reboot on the Intel® Programmable Acceleration Card (PAC) with Arria® 10 GX FPGA? - Why does “aocl diagnose” return the "Not configured with OpenCL BSP" error after a reboot on the Intel® Programmable Acceleration Card (PAC) with Arria® 10 GX FPGA?
Description Due to the inherent architecture of the PAC OpenCL Board Support Package (BSP), the PAC may lose the OpenCL BSP configuration after a machine reboot and reinitialization of the OpenCL environment variables as specified in the OpenCL on Intel® Programmable Acceleration Card with Intel® Arria® 10 GX FPGA Quick Start User Guide, leading the “aocl diagnose” command to present an error similar to the following: aocl diagnose: Running diagnose from <user_path>/opencl/opencl_bsp/linux64/libexec aocl diagnose: failed 1 times. First error below: Vendor: Intel Corp handle is: -2 Phys Dev Name Status Information pac_a10_ee00000Uninitialized Not configured with OpenCL BSP. Resolution Navigate to the folder within the PAC software installation where hello_world.aocx resides. Run “aocl program acl0 hello_world.aocx” to install the BSP and fix the issue. Please note that programming with a .aocx file built using the clBuildProgram command does not similarly install the BSP if it doesn’t exist. This is a limitation in the current software.
