How do I use the Enable Chip-Wide Reset (DEV_CLRn) and Enable Chip-Wide Output Enable (DEV_OE) options in the MAX PLUS® II software for FLEX® 10K, FLEX 10KA, FLEX 10KE, and FLEX 6000 devices? - How do I use the Enable Chip-Wide Reset (DEV_CLRn) and Enable Chip-Wide Output Enable (DEV_OE) options in the MAX PLUS® II software for FLEX® 10K, FLEX 10KA, FLEX 10KE, and FLEX 6000 devices?
Description The DEV_CLRn pin can be used to clear device registers, and the DEV_OE pin can be used for tristating all the device's output pins. The DEV_CLRn and DEV_OE pins are enabled through the Enable Chip-Wide Reset and Enable Chip-Wide Output Enable options in the MAX PLUS II software under Global Project Device Settings (Assign menu). DEV_CLRn and DEV_OE pins are used in the following ways: A logic low on the DEV_CLRn pin clears all of the device's registers. A logic low on the DEV_OE pin tri-states all of the device's output pins. These pins are not design dependent or user assigned. The DEV_CLRn and DEV_OE pins cannot be used to clear only some of the registers or tristate only some of the output pins; every device register and output pin is affected by these global signals.
