Why do archiving projects with files larger than 2GB fail? - Why do archiving projects with files larger than 2GB fail?
Description Due to a problem in Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software for Windows version 24.3.1 and earlier, you might encounter failures during the archive process of projects that contain files larger than 2GB. Resolution If you encounter this problem, use one of the following workarounds: Use the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software on Linux: Archive your projects using the Quartus® Prime Pro software on a Linux system, which does not have this limitation. Use the Quartus® Archiver to List Files and External Tools to Archive: On Windows, you can use the Quartus® archiver to gather the list of files to archive and then use other tools like ZIP to create the archive. Use the following command in the Quartus® Prime Command Line to generate the list of files: quartus_sh --archive -list_files -ascii <output_filename> <project_name> This command will write the list of files to archive to the specified <output_filename> . You can then use this list with external tools to create the archive. This problem is planned to be fixed in a future release of Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
