Why does the "Update Memory Initialization File" operation fail for an on-chip memory under a Platform Designer system? - Why does the "Update Memory Initialization File" operation fail for an on-chip memory under a Platform Designer system? Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.2, the “ Update Memory Initialization File ” operation for an on-chip memory under a Platform Designer system may not work as expected. The " Update Memory Initialization File " operation only uses the memory initialization file from the IP generated path, for example, ../ip/<Platform Designer system name>/<Platform Designer system name>_intel_onchip_memory_0/intel_onchip_memory_148/synth folder. If you place the memory initialization file in a custom folder, the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software does not copy it to the IP generated path automatically, thus the "Update Memory Initialization File" operation fails. Resolution To avoid this problem, copy the memory initialization file to the IP-generated path manually or re-generate the system. This problem is scheduled to be resolved in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
