Description This error may occur in the Quartus ® II software when you are: Converting a design originally created using the MAX PLUS ® II software. Using library of parameterized modules (LPM) functions created in the Altera ® Hardware Description Language (AHDL) in your design. The error is caused because you are including inst.tdf files, which are created with the MegaWizard ™ -generated LPM files, in a Quartus II project. inst.tdf files are only for reference when instantianting LPM functions in a project. Remove these files in order to fix the error. Similar errors will occur for VHDL and Verilog HDL if these files are added to the project.
