How to turn off code outlining in editor? - How to turn off code outlining in editor?
I'm upgrading to Quartus Lite 24.1 and would like to turn off the VHDL code outlining shown below. I looked through every option and cannot find it. I'm not even sure what this feature is called, so it was hard to search for an answer.

Ok, thought there might be an option somewhere. I prefer editors leave me alone and just enter what I type. Visual Studio is especially bad. Takes a while to find the options to turn off all the various auto this and auto that features. It would be nice if Quartus had a way to turn this off.

It's not outlining. It's "compression" or "collapsing." When you're done writing a code block, you can click the little - button to collapse the code into a single line so you can focus on other code. It turns into a + after it's collapsed so you can expand the collapsed code. I don't know that there's a way to turn it off but it's never bothered me. - 2025-11-29
