Description Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4, you may see missing pin assignments in the System QIP file of the Nios® V/m PIO LED Toggle Example Design, which is one of the pre-installed example designs in Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software. This is due to the parallel input/output (PIO) core with Avalon® interface preset not being applied to the instantiated IP in the Platform Designer system of the design. Resolution To work around this problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 22.4, perform one of the following two options: Design Open the Platform Designer system and select the parallel input/output (PIO) core with Avalon® interface instance in the Platform Designer's System View From the Presets tab, click Apply to a pply the preset manually . If the Presets tab is not available, you can invoke it via View > Presets Save and Generate HDL of the system Run the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro full compilation and re-generate the .sof file . This .sof file will contain the required pinout details which will direct the parallel input/output (PIO) core with Avalon® interface output ports to be mapped to the respective LED's on the targeted Intel Agilex® 7 F-Series Development Kit. Batch mode execution of design through scripts: Open the niosv_pio_qsys_top.tcl script contained within the scripts folder of the design Comment out the line number 308 .
