Streaming an MSI Request to the IP Compiler for PCI Express Design Example ICM Module While Streaming a TX TLP Causes TLP Corruption. - Streaming an MSI Request to the IP Compiler for PCI Express Design Example ICM Module While Streaming a TX TLP Causes TLP Corruption.
Description The IP Compiler for PCI Express User Guide does not document the fact that if the application streams an MSI request to the Incremental Compile Module (ICM) in the data/descriptor interface design example, while streaming a TX transaction layer packet (TLP), and the TX TLP stream is stalled, the TLP payload is corrupted with additional data. This issue affects the ICM module in the design example for all IP Compiler for PCI Express variations with data/descriptor interface in all current and past versions of the IP Compiler for PCI Express. Resolution To avoid this issue, ensure that you do not stream an MSI request to the ICM while streaming a TX TLP. This issue will be documented in a future version of the IP Compiler for PCI Express User Guide .
