Why does the link partner of an Arria 10 PCIe Hard IP core in Gen3 mode report replay number rollover? - Why does the link partner of an Arria 10 PCIe Hard IP core in Gen3 mode report replay number rollover? Description When a Gen3 Arria® 10 PCI®Express Hard IP core is in the recovery state and gets a receiver error due to a random bit error, the Hard IP may stop responding to subsequent DLLPs and TLPs. This condition can result in replay number rollover. This issue affects the Arria 10 PCIe Hard IP in Gen3 mode only and does not affect functionality. There is no data loss. The link partner initiates another recovery per the PCIe specification and the link returns to normal operation. This issue has negligible impact on throughput due to its low occurrence. Resolution No workaround is required.
