Maximum operating frequency of MAX10 - Maximum operating frequency of MAX10 Sorry for the beginner's question. I am using MAX10 (10M04SAU324I7G). This is a single power supply device. If I input a single-ended clock to this device and output it as it is, what is the maximum frequency of the clock that can be operated? For example, is it possible up to about 200MHz? Replies: Re: Maximum operating frequency of MAX10 As per the datasheet, the max fOUT for -7 speed grade device is 450MHz. However, as per the note 29 in the datasheet, the fIN parameter is limited in the Quartus by maximum I/O frequency which is different for each I/O standard. Recommend to run the Timing Analysis and perform IBIS simulation to understand the maximum achievable frequency for your system. In my opinion, 200MHz should be easily achievable. For speed grade: 7, maybe 472.5 MHz isn't possible, right? I would like to know if a minimum of 200MHz is possible even with speed grade: 7. Replies: Re: Maximum operating frequency of MAX10 Hi, Please refer PLL specifications in the device datasheet: Intel MAX 10 FPGA Device Datasheet You can operate the PLL to max 472.5 MHz, depending upon the speed grade.
