Does PCIe design targeting Arria GX or Stratix II GX need to instantiate the ALTGX_RECONFIG block? - Does PCIe design targeting Arria GX or Stratix II GX need to instantiate the ALTGX_RECONFIG block?
Description For PCIe® design targeting Arria® GX and Stratix® II GX devices, the ALTGX_RECONFIG block is optional because transceiver Offset Cancellation is not required. If it is unused, reconfig_clk signal should be tied low, reconfig_togxb be tied to b'010, and reconfig_fromgxb be left open. The reconfiguration block is needed if you want to perform Dynamic Reconfiguration to change the analog settings such as VOD, Pre-emphasis, and Equalization.
