Why is the rx_patterndetect port width two bits instead of one for a 16-Bit PMA-PCS Interface in Arria II GX devices? - Why is the rx_patterndetect port width two bits instead of one for a 16-Bit PMA-PCS Interface in Arria II GX devices? Description On Arria® II GX devices with 16-Bit PMA-PCS Interface widths and 8 bit word alignment patterns, the rx_patterndetect[0] or [1] signal will assert when the word alignment pattern is detected in the LSB or MSB of the 16 bit word respectively. For 16 bit word alignment patterns, the rx_patterndetect[1] signal will assert when the word alignment pattern is detected. Resolution This information will be updated in a future release of the Arria II GX handbook.
