Using the Altera® Quartus Prime Pro Edition Synthesis Engine - 31 Minutes The Altera® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software is designed to take your advanced FPGA designs to the next level with a new, enhanced synthesis engine. This engine features a new front-end parser with improved support for all IEEE RTL languages and stricter syntax and semantic checks, guaranteeing that your code is compliant with the language specifications. This training highlights the differences in behavior between the previous synthesis engine and the new engine along with a look at a number of new features. It also describes the actions that you'll need to take to ensure your code is compliant when migrating to the Altera® Quartus Prime Pro Edition software. Course Objectives At course completion, you will be able to: Get to Know the benefits of the Synthesis Engine in the Altera® Quartus Prime Pro Edition software Learn about the new HDL language features supported Understand the differences in Synthesis behavior between the older Quartus Mapper and the new Synthesis Engine Take appropriate actions to ensure code compatibility when moving to the new Engine Skills Required Background in digital logic design Familiarity with any Altera® Quartus Prime software product Familiarity with writing HDL code, either Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL If the audio for the course does not start automatically, press pause and then play on the course player.
