It supports TSN features like time synchronization, scheduling, priority queues, credit-based shaping, cyclic forwarding, and preemption completely in HW, which allows running TSN protocols completely independent and standalone from the user application. It is meant as a TSN co-processor that enables non-TSN-aware interfaces (e.g., legacy or "normal" MAC) to connect to the TSN network.
