Why does reading some registers in the 25Gbps Ethernet IP core MAC statistics address range not return a value? - Why does reading some registers in the 25Gbps Ethernet IP core MAC statistics address range not return a value?
Description Due to a logic implementation problem in the 25G Ethernet IP core v16.1, reading an undefined address in the MAC statistics registers address range (0x836-0x844, 0x846-0x85F, 0x864-0x8FF, 0x936-0x944, 0X946-0X95F, 0x964-0x9FF) or reading a write-only statistics register (0x845, 0x945) causes the IP core to hang. Resolution The problem will be addressed in a future version of the Quartus Prime software.
